Islam stands against racism and advocates justice and equality
Racism is the practice of treating people of a particular race differently, especially in a worse way cause of the color of their skin. This discrimination practice can be manifest in politics, economics, and social interactions.
Today, racism has evolved beyond skin color; it now extends to factors like nationality, power, and religion. It has become a major cause of societal unrest worldwide. Many people have lost their lives due to this prejudiced society.
We often viewed America as a civilized nation and a beacon of progress. However, this nation, which claims to be advanced, has a history of judging people based on their skin color. The death of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter movement is the most significant and prime examples of racism. Given this incident, it's difficult to justify calling to America as a civilized Nation. Humanity cannot learn from such barbaric societies like America.
In contrast to the perspective of America Islam does not discriminate based on skin color. Islam judges people based on their character and actions. Islam does not assign higher or lower status based on the skin tones of the people. A prime example is Hazrat Bilal Habshi (R), He is the first muezzin in Islamic history, who had dark skin.
Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Qur'an-
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.Reference:-Surah Ar-Rum (The Romans), verse 30:22.
Islam's emphasis on unity, justice, and equality serves as a beacon of hope in the fight against racism. Its teachings advocate for a society where individuals are judged by their character and contributions rather than their race or ethnicity. In this light, the Islamic approach not only denounces racism but also encourages proactive measures to build bridges of understanding and mutual respect.
The Prophet Muhammad (SW) During his farewell pilgrimage explicitly condemned sectarianism and racism.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the middle day of the days of at-Tashreeq: “O people, verily your Lord is one and your father is one. Verily there is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab or of a non-Arab over an Arab, or of a red man over a black man, or of a black man over a red man, except in terms of taqwa (piety). Have I conveyed the message?” They said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has conveyed the message. Reference:-Musnad Ahmad-23489.
It's foolish to expect civilization in the system of the world without Islam. If you seek true civilization, you should turn to Islam, not to racist nations like America.
