A Tale of Two Destinies
In work and deeds, there’s a stark mismatch.
Once, we both had so many dreams,
But Jamil, trapped by greed, has lost his way.
Now, he spends his days in regret,
Unable to find even a moment’s happiness.
My family stands steadfastly by my side,
While Jamil appears only in times of strife.
Jamil is alone, lost in the shadows,
Caught in a web of his own sins.
Day and night, my heart burns with anguish—
Why must this burden of sin be his?
Chasing black money has ruined his life;
He cannot tread the path of truth, even briefly.
He longs to leave it all behind,
But fear holds him captive, afraid of being lost.
One day, Jamil and I joined a funeral procession,
Together, wrapped in shrouds for burial.
My departure brought sorrow to my loved ones,
While Jamil’s passing brought tears of relief to the world.
